Is Obamacare the civilian version of VA health care?

— Other than the enemy they faced in combat the Veterans Administration would seem to be the most formidable barrier facing our countries veterans needing health care.

Vets enrolled in the VA may be called patients but in many cases as related in national news coverage many have also become victims. Managers at the various VA facilities have accomplished what the enemy could not.

However, the Veterans Administration appears to understand their responsibility as the following information was available on their site recently; “The goal of the VA health care system is to achieve excellence in patient care and customer satisfaction. VA’s medical mission is singular — to serve Veterans by providing the highest quality health care available anywhere in the world. America’s Veterans deserve nothing less”.

Additionally, the VA promises that comprehensive health care services will be available when and where you need them and additionally states that enrollment in VA health care meets health care law requirements; you don’t need any other coverage.

Observing the end result of this government managed health care operation over the years can only make a concerned citizen wonder as to how Obamacare will serve the citizens. .

Just like the VA the Obamacare health care system is buried in bureaucracy. Thus we should assume that just like the VA performance issues will take years of bureaucratic investigation. debate, union negotiation and political discussion until the issues are forgotten until the next time they reoccur. Then the cycle begins all over.

I no longer understand what purpose our elected representatives in Washington serve other than putting us deeper in debt with grants, but, it would be nice to hear one of them speak on national TV and in the press demanding justice for our vets.
