Motorcyclist injured in collision appreciates assistance, support

Cumberland Times-News

— My name is Glenn Brooks. I was involved in a serious automobile-motorcycle accident on May 28, 2011. From the injuries I sustained in the accident I was flown to the shock trauma center in Baltimore.

I suffered multiple fractures of my pelvis, knees and ankle. I spent the next three months in Baltimore’s University Specialty Hospital recuperating and getting physical therapy. I am home now, but still going through physical therapy and will be for several months.

I am writing this letter to thank everyone for their help and support, from the accident scene to my stay in the hospital to the present day. These people include my family, relatives and friends, along with many organizations, businesses and people that showed up at the accident scene.

I thank all of you for your help, cards, letters and visits, along with your thoughts and prayers. They really helped me get through this ordeal. Again, I thank everyone for their help and support.

And, in closing, I would like to take time to ask everyone to please take time to look for motorcycles. We are out there, too.
