Converting to a peacetime economy would save money

— Do you think that the Pentagon wants peace? That would put most of those high-paying officers out of a job.

War is killing us! Let’s get out of Afghanistan and mind our own business!

Can you imagine the cost involved in maintaining and operating 761 U.S. military bases around the world. Whoever gave the military authority to spend all that money and for what? Is that where you want your taxes to go?

Bring all the those military personnel home along with all the machinery it took to build and maintain those bases and put all that to work rebuilding our infrastructure.

We could convert our nation from a wartime economy to a peacetime economy. It would be a lot cheaper than war and it wouldn’t be costing our own young men and women their lives nor would we be killing innocent people and devastating their countries in the process.

Money would be spent more wisely. It would be used for much needed Social Security, health care, teachers, education, workers, materials and equipment. This would give us many jobs and help pay down our national debt.

This would also reduce our politicians’ dependency on payoffs from big businesses and corporations.
