Senate protected our rights in voting against the gun bill

— I would like to take the time and thank the U.S. Senate for not passing the new gun regulations and the assault weapon ban.

I am a gun owner in America and we needed to protect our Second Amendment Rights.

There has been much talk about what our Senate should have done but I feel they did the right thing.

People say they were influenced by large organizations. So were the anti-gun folks. They are now mad because they lost (again).

Our own president said it was a disgrace to Washington when our Senate did not pass what he wanted. Was it a disgrace for him to say that?

How would he feel if the Senate said he was a disgrace??? I feel they just did what they were elected to do. They did not bow down to the mighty one.

They said 92 percent of the people wanted this to pass. Lets put it on the ballot and get the real story. Lets segregate the large cities from the rural area. I think we will see the real truth.

Again, this is just my opinion. But I give a mighty attaboy to the U.S. Senate.
