Remember where your freedom comes from before criticizing

The deal at Fort Hood could have been avoided if it was caught in time.

When you think a GI is not acting right, have him or her checked out before you put them back on duty and give them a weapon. Post-traumatic stress disorder is a serious and dangerous problem if it is not taken care of right away.

I knew a veteran who worked at a factory in Romney once and he was told by two people that all he wanted was a pat on the back. Real nice thing to say to someone, isn’t it?

Then he was told by members in the (American) Legion post that anyone who spent a lot of time in the military was too lazy to work in everyday life. Then you wonder while a lot of veterans go off the deep end. If it wasn’t for the veterans we wouldn’t have any freedom or any rights.

So, when you go putting down a vet or call them a killer, think where your freedom comes from. And remember he or she is out there fighting and dying for you. So think the next time before you open your mouth and put your foot in it.

Thank a vet the next time you seek one. And remember how lucky you are to have a great nation like the United States of America.
