Thanks to John, who stopped and helped them at a bad time

— My husband and I were out running errands on Dec. 26 and ended up out in the snow storm.

Due to error on my part, we became stuck in a snowbank. We had new cables to put on our tires so we could get out, but putting them on was very complicated.

A man named John stopped to help us. In work clothes and without gloves, he rolled in the snow as he helped install the tire cables.

In the process of helping us, the knee on his pants ripped, and he became soaked from the snow. I offered to purchase a new pair of pants, but he declined. The offer still stands!

He mentioned he worked at Sears doing deliveries. If you see or know him, please express our thanks. It meant a lot, and it was a great birthday present to be a recipient of such kindness.
