Hearing aid lost at Friday After Five returned safe, unharmed

On July 26, my husband and I went downtown to Friday After Five. We had a very nice dinner, then went outside to listen to a really entertaining duo, Take Two.

The weather was great. It was a wonderful evening. Upon arriving home, I noticed one of my hearing aids was missing. After searching the car, the house, and my purse, I went back downtown to search. Nothing. I was devastated!

The next morning, I decided to go back to the mall, and search again. When I reached the mall, I saw Ed Mullaney. I asked if anyone had turned in a hearing aid.

“Funny you should ask,” he said. “Yes, come to my office.”

There it was, undamaged and safe. Ed said someone had turned it in to one of his event staff people.

To whoever turned it in, “Thank You!” You know how expensive these devices can be. Thanks to Ed and his event staff crew.

I’m glad we have such honest people in our home town. Ed is so dedicated to Cumberland and making sure the visitors downtown are made to feel welcome. Again, “Thanks,” and a job more than well done, Ed!
