To the Editor:
Psalm 11:3 — If the foundations are destroyed, what can the righteous do?
The foundation of our nation “America” was built on Christian principles, values and prayers of our founding for fathers. And God did bless America. But in 1963 our Supreme Court saw fit to remove prayer from our public schools. In 1973 our Supreme Court in Roe v. Wade made abortion legal.
We removed the Ten Commandments from most public places including schools and now wonder what is the matter with this country.
John 9:31 — Now we know that God does not hear sinners; but if anyone is a worshiper of God, and does His will, He hears him.
We witness murders of every kind in our schools, shopping malls, and terrorist attacks at public events. We make a big deal about saving the planet, save the animals, etc. Yet we kill children in abortion clinics every day.
Life is sacred to God. People are dying every day from alcohol and drug abuse more often then not because of people and surroundings, or “bad breaks” of life.
We always look to blame someone else for the problems in our lives. Sometimes we just blame the Devil, but he often sits back and lets the flesh do its own dirty deeds.
Corinthians 6:9-10 — Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulters, nor homosexuals nor sodomites nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God.
Our nation does not need to sing “God Bless America” any more — it needs to repent and turn from all the sin and unrightness before it is too late.
Luke 13:2-5 — Do you suppose that these Galileans were worse sinners than all other Galileans, because they suffered such things? I tell you not; but unless you repent you will like wise perish. Or those 18 on whom the tower in Siloam fell and killed them, do you think that they were worst sinners than all other men who dwelt in Jerusalem? “I tell you No, but unless you repent you will all likewise perish.”
Wake up, people, if there was ever a time when we need to pray it is now. When we come to Christ we are called upon to repent of our sins and no longer practice the ungodly things that we may have enjoyed before.
2 Chronicles 7:14 — If my people who are called by my name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sins and heal their land
