To the Editor:
I recently read that progress is being made on the North/South corridor and that it is expected to take approximately two years or more to do Tier 2 (Final Environmental Impact Study), according to West Virginia.
Why is it that we have to do yet another study?
So much money is poured into these studies and yet no progress has been made in building this highway.
If you are going to build it, then build it or forget it.
Money spent on these studies could be better spent by giving it back to the taxpayers that are in need of a decent job.
The taxpayers of Mineral County really do need good paying jobs that the highway would create and need the businesses that will come here when it is built. So why not just get it going forward?
