County-by-county Md. deer harvest

ANNAPOLIS — These deer harvest numbers from the recent two-week firearms season are supplied by the Maryland Department of Natural Resources and do not include the harvest from the junior hunt. Antlered deer are listed first, followed by the antlerless harvest. Sika deer are not included.

Allegany 910, 536; Anne Arundel 278, 551; Baltimore 500, 977; Calvert 179, 425; Caroline 304, 826; Carroll 841, 1,530; Cecil 445, 904; Charles 417, 918; Dorchester 423, 1,015; Frederick 1,205, 2,278; Garrett 1,172, 711; Harford 409, 921; Howard 206, 452; Kent 469, 1,113; Montgomery 525, 1,098; Prince George’s 276, 588; Queen Anne’s 492, 1,252; Somerset 355, 882; St. Mary’s 353, 642; Talbot 365, 957; Washington 1,185, 1,458; Wicomico 454, 1,180; Worcester 566, 1,507.

There were 12,780 bucks and 23,308 antlerless deer killed.

The only two counties where more bucks than does were killed were Garrett and Allegany.
