Mission crossbows recalled

— SPARTA, Wisc. — Mission Archery has recalled 9,500 MXB crossbows because they can fire an arrow unexpectedly without the trigger being pulled.

Thus far, Mission is aware of three such incidents. No injuries have been reported.

Consumers should immediately stop using the bows MXB 320, MXB Dagger, MXB 400 and MXB 360. These bows have the automatic safety located behind the trigger ar the rear of the scope mount.

The bows may be taken to a Mission Archery authorized dealer for a free repair. Bow owners may also contact the company for information about returning the bows to the manufacturer for repair.
