Times-News will use deer photos

Cumberland Times-News

— The Cumberland Times-News will use photographs of hunters with deer that they harvested during the 2013 seasons. There is no charge.

Most photos will be held and used in the January issue of Rod & Gun. Photos will be accepted through Dec. 20. Some of the photos will appear on the Sunday Outdoors page.

There is a limit of one photograph per hunter. Preferred are photos that show the hunter and deer at the scene of the kill, with the deer displayed in an acceptable fashion and the hunter wearing orange during the seasons when it is required.

Include a telephone number, hunter’s name and place of residence, location of kill and information about the deer. For youth hunters, include the age.

Submit to:

• Mike Sawyers, Outdoor Editor, Cumberland Times-News, P.O. Box 1662, Cumberland, MD 21501-1662

• Newsroom is on the second floor. Use the South Mechanic Street entrance.

Some photos may be rejected, especially low resolution photos taken via cell phones. During recent years, the quality of submitted photographs has improved. Keep up the good work.
