Shutdown hurts hunting, fishing

COLUMBUS, Ohio — As Washington D.C. deals with a government shutdown, hunters, anglers and trappers across the country are facing a shutdown of their own, according to a press release from the U.S. Sportsmen’s Alliance.  

The federal government has closed accessible public lands and waters. Involved are millions of acres of public land administered by agencies such as the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and National Park Service.
