Rocky Gap to host disabled deer hunters

— ROCKY GAP — Disabled hunters have until Nov. 22 at 4 p.m. to apply to hunt deer at Rocky Gap State Park.

Hunters chosen during a drawing on Nov. 26 at 5 p.m. at the Camper Registration Building will be allowed to use nine sites during the three Saturdays that fall during the Maryland firearm season: Nov. 30, Dec. 7 and Dec. 14.

On weekdays, the sites will be available to disabled hunters on a first-come, first-served basis.

Disabled hunters must send, by the deadline, a telephone number, proof of valid Maryland hunting license and proof of the Department of Natural Resources disabled hunting permit to: Rocky Gap State Park, c/o: Ranger Puffenberger, 12900 Lakeshore Drive, Flintstone, MD 21530.
