Bear Watch - 09/29/2013

The number of bears to have died on Maryland roads this year holds at 27, according to the Cumberland Times-News unofficial accounting.

The carcass of a bear that had been dead for some time was found on the property of Maryland Minerals at McHenry, according to Clarissa Harris of the Maryland Wildlife & Heritage Service. The level of decomposition eliminated detailed analysis of the carcass.
