W.Va. black powder hunt for deer begins Monday

SOUTH CHARLESTON, W.Va. —  The West Virginia deer muzzleloader season will open one week earlier this year than in past years, according to Curtis I. Taylor, chief of Wildlife Resources Section of the West Virginia Division of Natural Resources. The deer muzzleloader season is Dec. 3-8.

Resident and nonresident hunters who are interested in purchasing an additional deer muzzleloader stamp (Class RM and RRM) have until today, the day prior to the season opening, to make that purchase.
