LAVALE - Phyllis G. Lechliter, 80, of LaVale, died Monday, Feb. 19, 2007 at her residence.

Born July 24, 1926 in Cumberland, she was the daughter of the late Velma (Martin) Detrick. She was also preceded in death by her husband, William H. Lechliter III.

Mrs. Lechliter was a loving mother and grandmother.

She is survived by her two sons, William H. Lechliter IV, and his wife, Joyce, of Cumberland, and Terry W. Lechliter, of LaVale; three daughters, Paulette Baker and Bonnie Broadwater, both of LaVale, and Colette C. Warnick, and husband, James Warnick II, of Drayden; two brothers, Keith Detrick and Colin Detrick, both of Ridgeley, W.Va.; one sister, Marlene Wolfe, of Ridgeley, W.Va.; five grandchildren, Shelley Rice, Leslie Broadwater Jr., Mark Lechliter, Darrin Broadwater, and James E. Warnick III; and four great grandchildren, Taylor Rice, Madison Rice, Sydney Lechliter, and Drake Lechliter.

Friends will be received at the Upchurch Funeral Home, P.A., 202 Greene St., Cumberland, on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

Funeral services will be conducted at the funeral home on Friday at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Oscar Ohler officiating.

Interment will be in Rest Lawn Memorial Gardens.

Serving as pallbearers will be Leslie Broadwater Jr., Mark Lechliter, Darrin Broadwater, Richard Rice, Floyd Kaylor II, and Floyd Kaylor III.
