5/10 - City burglaries increasing

From Staff Reports
Cumberland Times-News

Cumberland City Police noted a recent rise in residential and business burglaries during a review of city crime statistics. Officers advise citizens to be extra careful.

There are individuals who spend their time walking the streets, trying car doors, out-building homes and businesses for the chance of an open door, especially during the warm weather season when people tend to open doors and windows, police said.
