9/23 - Assault complaint prompts arrest

OAKLAND — Garrett County sheriff’s deputies arrested an Accident man Tuesday after he allegedly committed an assault while officers were executing a court order.

Craig L. Garrett, 45, was charged with second-degree assault before being jailed at the Garrett County Detention Center awaiting a bond hearing.

The charges stem from an incident in which deputies were assisting representatives from a local financial institution in the execution of an order from circuit court, according to the Garrett County Sheriff’s Office.
