10/06/09 - Frostburg men hurt at I-68 ramp

Cumberland Times-News

GRANTSVILLE — Two Frostburg men were injured when their automobile was struck by a tractor-trailer Sunday evening at the westbound Interstate 68 ramp to state Route 495, according to Maryland State Police.

Andrew Warnick, 28, and Christopher Warnick, 30, were taken to Memorial Hospital by Northern Garrett Rescue Squad following the 7:15 p.m. crash. No information was available concerning their injuries and medical conditions.

Police said Andrew Warnick was driving a 1995 Toyota Camry southbound on Route 495 when the vehicle was struck by a 2003 Peterbilt tractor-trailer operated by Richard Kinzey of Grantsville. Kinzey failed to yield right of way while traveling westbound from the westbound I-68 ramp to Route 495. Kinzey apparently was not injured but was cited by police for failure to yield right of way.
