Ridgeley woman faces charges

CUMBERLAND — A Mineral County, W.Va., woman was charged Saturday with several counts of theft after Cumberland Police found her allegedly “tampering with motor vehicles” in a parking lot off Lamont Street.

Jennifer Jane Shoap, 38, of Ridgeley, was jailed on $20,000 bond, police said. According to a police report, a witness called police after observing Shoap in the parking lot.
