Wrong-way driver causes accident - 12/27

— HANCOCK — Maryland State Police seek information about a vehicle that traveled the wrong way on Interstate 70, causing an accident with injuries at the 8-mile marker Wednesday about 1 a.m.

A black Ford Mustang was eastbound and attempted to evade an SUV, possibly a white Chevrolet Suburban, traveling westbound on the wrong side of the interstate.

The Mustang rolled, injuring the driver, Sherman Brown, 29, Baltimore, and passenger Akeel Randolph, 20, Belcamp. Randolph was flown to Meritus Medical Center by Maryland State Police Trooper 3 medevac helicopter. Brown went there via ambulance.

The eastbound lanes were closed for about one hour. Call 301-766-3800.
