— BEDFORD, Pa. — An early-morning traffic accident Sunday on state Route 30 in Snake Spring Township claimed the life of an Everett woman, Pennsylvania State Police said.

Beth Ann Morris, 40, of Everett, suffered severe head injuries and was pronounced dead at the UMPC Bedford Memorial Hospital, police said.

Police said Morris was operating a vehicle eastbound on Route 30 at about 3:15 a.m., when, for unknown reasons, the vehicle traveled out of control and struck a rock embankment on the north side of the roadway.

Upon impact, the vehicle traveled up the embankment, slid back down the embankment and then came to rest.

Morris was not wearing a seatbelt when the crash occurred on Route 30 at Dallas Road, according to Trooper Corey S. Ickes.

The investigation of the accident is continuing.
