Several people injured on snowy roadways - 03/20

— CUMBERLAND — Several people were injured in apparently weather-related crashes Monday, according to the Allegany County 911 center.

Two people were injured in an accident on state Route 35 near the Sheetz store and two were hurt in an accident in Ellerslie near the former DeVore’s market location.

One person was injured in an accident on Interstate 68 in the Orleans area.

The crashes occurred between 3:15 and 3:45 p.m., prompting investigation by Maryland State Police and the Allegany County Sheriff’s Office.

All of the injured people were taken by ambulance to the Western Maryland Regional Medical Center for treatment of unspecified injuries, according to the emergency center.
