Police use Taser during altercation - 08/27

—  LOCH LYNN — A Garrett County sheriff’s deputy used a Taser to subdue an Oakland man who was allegedly involved in a domestic altercation with a family member Saturday night in Loch Lynn.

Cory Thomas Broadwater, 23, failed to obey the deputies and was charged with failing to obey a lawful order, disturbing the peace, resisting arrest and alcoholic beverage/endangerment, police said.

He was taken to Garrett County Memorial Hospital for minor injuries following the 9:30 p.m. incident, police said.

Broadwater was held in the Garrett County Detention Center on $2,500 bond.
