Pennsylvania police officer injured in accident - 11/23

SOMERSET, Pa. — A Conemaugh Township police officer and a Boswell man were injured Friday in a two-vehicle accident on Route 601 in Jenner Township, according to Pennsylvania State Police.

The accident occurred at 10:10 a.m. at Route 601 and Woodstown Highway.

Police said Sgt. James McKnight of the Conemaugh Township Police Department was driving a 2007 Dodge Charger with Daniel Beeman, 26, of Boswell as a passenger when the vehicle was struck by a 1995 Dodge Ram operated by Rodney Kensinger, 61, of Williamsburg.

McKnight was taken to Conemaugh Hospital in Johnstown and Beeman to Somerset Hospital, police said.

All the occupants were wearing seat belts.

Kensinger apparently was not injured, according to police.
