Reward offered in city crime spree - 04/08

— CUMBERLAND — Cumberland Police are hopeful that a reward of up to $1,500 may prompt some leads concerning those who damaged numerous vehicles throughout the city early Saturday.

Passenger windows and side mirrors of parked vehicles on Baltimore Avenue, Decatur Street, Broadway, Oldtown Road, East First Street, South Street and Grand Avenue were damaged sometime in the early morning hours.

Objects were thrown or a blunt object was used to cause the destruction.

Police said total damages are believed to be several thousand dollars.

Anyone with information about the malicious destruction of property crime spree may contact police at 301-777-1600.

Callers who wish to remain anonymous may do so by calling Allegany and Mineral County Crime Solvers at 722-4300. Re-wards of up to $1,500 are offered by Crime Solvers for information leading to the arrest of the person responsible for the widespread destruction of property.
