CUMBERLAND — Cumberland Police served a warrant on Antonio Smith, 23, of Cumberland on Saturday evening and allegedly found suspected heroin and a hypodermic syringe in his possession.
At 7:30 p.m., an officer on patrol located Smith at a business on Virginia Ave-nue. Smith was wanted in connection with an incident Thursday on Greene Street where he allegedly pushed an officer who was trying to locate him on a noncriminal matter. Smith then ran throughout vehicular traffic before being located on Industrial Boulevard. Police were then able to handle the original matter.
He was charged with possession of heroin and paraphernalia, second-degree as-sault, obstructing and hindering, failure to obey, two counts of disorderly conduct and reckless endangerment.
