Troopers from the Cumberland barrack who re-sponded to the intersection of Amherst Avenue and Brown Hill Road determined that the dog had been shot with a small-caliber weapon.
The medium-sized black terrier with a black collar was named Buddy and belonged to a young girl, police said. Anyone with information about this case is asked to contact Tfc. Lewis at 301-729-2101. Callers may remain anonymous.
