OAKLAND — A six-month investigation into the burglary of a secluded farm near Sand Flat Road and Garrett Highway has resulted in the arrest of an Oakland man, according to the Garrett County Sheriff’s Office.
Investigators arrested Kristopher Robert Keeler, 22, of Oakland on Nov. 20 at his residence on Garrett Highway on a charge of theft of a four-wheeler from the farm location. A large amount of hunting supplies were also stolen.
Much damage also occurred to the residence and the garage, including cutting of electric and water lines.
The four-wheeler was located Nov. 18 at a Deer Park residence after Keeler allegedly sold it to residents there.
Keeler was charged with first- and second-degree burglary, felony theft and malicious destruction of property.
Police said Keeler remained jailed Friday on $50,000 bond at the Garrett County Detention Center.
