— CUMBERLAND — Re-sponding to an alert Friday that a vehicle parked sideways on High Bedford Street was blocking traffic, Cumberland Police officers discovered that it had struck a porch and had been involved in another accident within the past two hours.

Officers searched the vehicle owned by Jason Ben Cristofori, 36, Cumberland, and allegedly found a controlled dangerous substance.

Officers determined that the car had been driven by Breann Carol Haines, 20, Cumberland.

Cristofori was charged with possessing drugs and was in the Allegany County Detention Center Saturday afternoon on a bond of $5,000.

Haines was charged with driving while impaired and released pending trial.
