— CUMBERLAND — Members of the Allegany County Crisis Negotiation Team talked a 48-year-old man into getting down from the Willowbrook Road overpass above Interstate 68 eastbound after he threatened to jump Monday afternoon.

The Allegany County 911 Center alerted officers at 12:42 p.m. Police found the man seated on the outside of the guardrail threatening to jump. The team was able to talk him off the bridge without incident or injury.

Traffic was diverted off I-68 at the Willowbrook Road exits. The man was taken to the Western Maryland Regional Medical Center for an emergency evaluation.

The Cumberland Fire De-partment also responded.
