CUMBERLAND — A domestic complaint at a Mexico Farms Road residence Sunday evening led to the arrest of William Joseph Spraggs, 39, of Cumberland.
The Allegany County Sheriff’s Office reported Spraggs was charged with first- and second-degree assault, reckless endangerment and disorderly conduct following investigation of the 7:39 p.m. complaint in the 11100 block.
Following bail review in district court, Spraggs remained jailed Monday on $25,000 bond at the Allegany County Detention Center.
Police said the charges stem from an incident on Saturday in which the accused allegedly head-butted his live-in girlfriend and knocked her teeth out, and a second incident Sunday in which the accused allegedly struck the victim in the ear with his fist while she was driving.
The victim did not seek medical treatment, police said.
