Sobriety check set in Mineral County - 07/18

— FORT ASHBY, W.Va. — Motorists traveling state Route 28 in the Fort Ashby area should expect to encounter a sobriety checkpoint on Aug. 8 and 9.

West Virginia State Police will conduct the checkpoint from 8 p.m. Friday to 2 a.m. Saturday, according to First Sgt. C.A. Mahood, Troop 2, District 2 commander.

The checkpoint is an effort to increase awareness of the hazards of intoxicated driving.
