Pa. woman victim of driveway scam - 03/16

HYNDMAN, Pa. — A Hyndman woman was scammed out of $2,400 recently when four unidentified men performed driveway work that a professional company said should have cost about a hundred dollars.

The men arrived at her residence March 5 in two unmarked trucks and offered to seal her driveway.

The suspects told the victim they were from the Frostburg and Cumberland areas.

One suspect was described as a large white man who was clean-cut and had fair skin. He was driving a two-tone blue and gray pickup truck with aluminum round decorative tubes in the bed of the truck.

The other three men occupied a black pickup truck with a tar container in the bed of the truck.

No markings of any kind were on the trucks.

Anyone with information on the suspects or vehicles may call state police at Bedford at 814-623-6133 and refer to incident G02-1272892.
