BEDFORD, Pa. — Fifty-eight-year-old Denver D. Yokum, who died at his residence Monday, was the apparent victim of a fire that occurred there early in the day.
Although the victim of Monday’s fire has not been formally identified by fire and police investigators of the Pennsylvania State Police, an obituary published in the Times-News reported the Warmuth Lane resident’s death.
The fire was extinguished by the Bedford Volunteer Fire Department following alert shortly after 4 a.m. The victim was located inside the building after the fire was extinguished.
Autopsy showed the victim died of smoke inhalation, police said.
No further details were available Tuesday from state police at Bedford.
