FLINTSTONE — The owner of a Pleasant Valley Road home that caught fire Saturday morning was treated at the hospital for breathing difficulties and released, according to the Maryland State Fire Marshal’s Office.
The cause of the 10:56 a.m. fire that originated in the first-floor living room is still under investigation. Owner Joseph Miltenberger was trying to extinguish the fire when first responders arrived at the home at 13800 Pleasant Valley Road occupied by his son.
Damages were estimated at $33,800 to the two-story home and $16,200 to its contents. It took 40 volunteer firefighters 10 minutes to bring the fire under control, the fire marshal’s office said.
