Woman killed, child injured in Pendleton County - 07/24

— FRANKLIN, W.Va. — A single-vehicle accident Tuesday on U.S. Route 33 in Pendleton County claimed the life of a woman and injured an 11-month-old child, according to West Virginia State Police.

Dana Nicole Davis died following the accident that occurred on U.S. 33 be-tween Riverton and Macksville near Seneca Rocks.

Police said the child was injured. Further information was not provided.

Sgt. A.D. Teter reported Davis was operating a Ford F-150 truck with the child as a passenger when the vehicle exited the north roadway edge and rolled over an embankment.

The crash was reported at 8:15 a.m. to the Pendleton County 911 Center.

North Fork and Franklin rescue squads, Seneca Rocks and Circleville volunteer fire departments and the Pendleton County Tactical Skills Team responded upon alert by the emergency center.

Teter is the investigating officer.
