GRANTSVILLE — A Grantsville woman was arrested on numerous charges Thursday afternoon when Maryland State Police investigated a domestic assault case.
Andraya Nicole Austin, 23, was charged with driving under the influence, three counts of second-degree assault, resisting arrest, possession of a controlled dangerous substance (not marijuana) and possession of a hypodermic needle.
Austin was also arrested on a warrant from Allegany County in connection with a bad check charge, police said.
Following a bond hearing, Austin was released on her personal recognizance, pending trial in district court.
Police said Austin was arrested after she was given a sobriety test during investigation of the complaint in the 300 block of Cassel Ridge Drive in Grantsville at about 4:30 p.m. Thursday.
Austin allegedly struck two male victims and a parked vehicle prior to the arrival of troopers.
She also allegedly kicked and spat on a trooper when she was taken into custody.
