CUMBERLAND — A city man was arrested Saturday after he allegedly threatened police with a baseball bat.
Officers responding to a domestic assault call at a Memorial Avenue residence were confronted by Raymond Osbourne, 51, who stood in the doorway cursing and yelling at officers, police said.
He then went inside the home and continued the verbal assault through a window.
One of the officers located the alleged victim, who had injuries consistent with an assault, police said.
Osbourne picked up a baseball bat and threatened the officers with it if they entered the residence.
Officers continued to talk with Osbourne until they were able to convince him to come outside of the home.
He was then taken into custody and was being held at the Allegany County Detention Center on a $3,000 bond.
