— BEDFORD, Pa. — An Everett man was jailed early Wednesday after he wrecked his vehicle and then resisted arrest by state troopers, according to Pennsylvania State Police.

Matthew Ryan McCall, 30, was taken to the hospital following the 1 a.m. incident after he was arrested for driving while under the influence. While at the hospital, he reportedly began to fight troopers and then threatened to kill them, police said.

Later at the state police barrack, McCall allegedly broke a thermostat housing unit, police said.

After being charged with DUI, resisting arrest, institutional vandalism and terroristic threats, he was held in the Bedford County Jail.

Police said McCall was driving a 2012 Ford Fusion on Bud Shuster Highway in West Providence Township when he crossed over the center median and struck a snow embankment.
