Two hurt in crash near Centerville - 06/16

CENTERVILLE, Pa. — A Mount Savage woman and a Cumberland teenager were injured in a two-vehicle crash late Friday on U.S. Route 220 in Cumberland Township, according to Pennsylvania State Police at Bedford.

Natasha R. Emerick, 24, suffered apparently non-life threatening injuries as did the 16-year-old female victim.

Both victims were taken to the Western Maryland Regional Medical Center for treatment following transport by ambulances from Bowman’s Addition and the Cumberland Fire Department.

No injuries were reported to William A. Wolfe, 75, of Cumberland.

Trooper Eric Griswald reported Wolfe was operating a Chevrolet Impala northbound on Bedford Valley Road when a Chevrolet Cavalier operated by Emerick backed from a private driveway into the path of the Wolfe vehicle.

The juvenile was a passenger in the vehicle driven by Emerick.

Both ambulances were alerted by the Allegany County 911 center to the accident that occurred about two miles south of Centerville.
