Vehicle strikes Piedmont house - 10/07

— PIEDMONT, W.Va. —  At least one person was transported to the Western Maryland Regional Medical Center following an accident in which a car reportedly struck a house on West Fairview Street Saturday.

A porch on the house reportedly collapsed as a result of the 9:17 p.m. crash.

Among those responding to the scene were Keyser, Piedmont, Westernport and Bloomington firefighters and ambulances from Keyser, Tri-Towns and New Creek. The Allegany County Collapse Team also was called to the scene. The accident is being investigated by the Mineral County Sheriff’s Office.
