CUMBERLAND — A Lonaconing woman and her passenger were taken to Western Maryland Regional Medical Center on Tuesday afternoon after the truck they were riding in was struck and rolled over at the Interstate 68 eastbound off-ramp to U.S. Route 220, according to Cumberland Police.
Police said that Golda Kuhn of Cumberland failed to stop at the bottom of the ramp and her 2003 Toyota hit Angela Gurtler’s 1999 Ford truck at 5:12 p.m.
Gurtler and her passenger were taken to the hospital for non life-threatening injuries by the Cumberland Fire Department, police said. Kuhn was issued a citation for failing to stop. Both vehicles sustained heavy damage and were towed from the scene, police said.
