FROSTBURG — A Hancock woman reportedly lost control of her vehicle while reading a text message in the 100 block of East College Avenue Saturday, according to Frostburg Police.

Police said a 1999 Chevrolet operated by Tiffany LeeAnn Younker, 19, was traveling westbound when Younker became distracted, causing the vehicle to veer to the right where it struck a parked unattended 2007 Jeep owned by Keith Kenneth Wilson of Jefferson. The Youn-ker vehicle then traveled a short distance before rolling over on its roof.

Frostburg volunteer firefighters and Frostburg Area Ambulance Service responded and Younker was treated at the scene by first responders. She reportedly refused transport to the hospital.

Younker was charged with consumption of an alcoholic beverage under the age of 21, negligent driving and operating a motor vehicle while using a cell phone.

The 12:51 a.m. accident was investigated by Sgt. G.D. Kroll.
