CUMBERLAND — Three members of one family were arrested Sunday when Cumberland Police investigated a disturbance on Ascension Street.
Two of the defendants and two police officers suffered minor injuries and were treated at the Western Maryland Regional Medial Center following the 6:45 p.m. complaint in the 400 block of Ascension.
Police said Richard E. Dentinger Sr., 50, was arrested on various counts of second-degree assault, assault on a police officer, resisting arrest and obstructing and hindering police. He was released after posting $10,000 bond.
Richard E. Dentinger Jr., 28, was charged with two counts second-degree as-sault, affray, disorderly conduct and failure to obey a lawful order before he was released on $7,500 bond.
Ryian E. Dentinger, 20, was charged with disorderly conduct, failure to obey a lawful order, obstructing and hindering police. He was granted pre-trial release on his personal recognizance by a district court commissioner.
Police found all three defendants “fighting in the street” when officers arrived.
The officers were reportedly assaulted as they attempted to break up the fight.
