— CUMBERLAND — A 21-year-old Cumberland woman allegedly pushed a Cumberland Police officer and resisted arrest when police responded to a report of a disturbance Sunday night at Banneker Garden Apartments on Frederick Street.

Detonia Degross was in an argument and had damaged the other person’s car when police arrived around 9:40 p.m. She became combative when an officer tried to intervene, police said.

She was charged with second-degree assault, resisting arrest, malicious destruction of property and disorderly conduct, and was released on her personal recognizance by a district court commissioner.
