Burglary reported at Bedford Diner - 01/05

BEDFORD, Pa. — State police at Bedford investigated a burglary that occurred recently at the Bedford Diner on business U.S. Route 220 in Bedford Township.

The burglary is believed to have occurred at 11:30 p.m. on Dec. 20, police said.

A suspect described as a light-skinned black male, 5 feet 8 inches tall and having a light moustache is being sought in connection with the burglary.

Police said entry into the business was made through a rear window.

Once inside, the suspect allegedly stole 10 rolls of quarters. A microwave oven and the rear window were damaged in the incident.

    ROMNEY, W.Va. — A sobriety checkpoint will be conducted Friday night and early Saturday along U.S. Route 50 near Romney, according to West Virginia State Police.
