Garrett woman jailed for burglary - 03/28

— OAKLAND — Miranda Rae Bageant, 26, Friendsville, was sentenced in Garrett County Circuit Court to 10 years for conspiracy to commit first-degree burglary with all but 18 months of the sentence suspended.

She will be on probation after her release with conditions that include the payment of $545 in court costs.

Bageant had sold jewelry stolen from a northern Garrett County home to a pawn shop, then wrote a letter of apology to the victims. She pleaded guilty in October and a presentence investigation was ordered at that time.
