CUMBERLAND — A student at Washington Middle School was suspended Thursday after a threatening message was found on a bathroom wall of the school, according to the Allegany County Board of Education.
The board also reported suspicious messages were discovered Thursday at Braddock Middle School and at Fort Hill High School. However, law enforcement and school administrators quickly determined the messages to be “noncredible.”
A threat Monday at Allegany High School written on a wall inside the school prompted a search of the school and checks of large bags and backpacks carried by staff and students upon entering the building. The school remained on lock-in status throughout the day Thursday, according to the board of education.
